Now the key to most popular websites whether it be a gaming, cooking, celebrity-gossip, site is that it has new content at a consistent rate. I would suggest gearing your website to things you know more about or are interested in, as this will make it easier to develop if you have some background. A website isn't normally a make it and forget it venture if you want to keep people attracted. As far as the websites which make the most money, its the good ones. A great cooking site will receive thousands more hits than a bad **** site. Just go out and try to be original, stick to something you understand and others have an interest in, and that's your best bet.
